Common Warts

Common warts are classified to be small and rough tumors that commonly invade the feet and hands. In fact, they are likened to a solid blister that looks like a cauliflower. Warts can likewise grow in other parts of the body such as on the chest, genitals, inside of the mouth, rectal area, face, eyelids, arms, and anywhere that has skin. The infection that they cause to one person can be transferred to another especially by using the same towels, socks, or any other object that has been in contact with the affected area.

Meanwhile, the common warts that grow on the genital areas are truly contagious and may spread from one victim to another during the anal, oral, or vaginal intercourse. They may be totally painless except of course for those warts that grow on the feet. Also they may disappear through time and are not at all cancerous.

Warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Viruses and the infection that they bring depends on the nature of the virus itself. So much to say, they have their own specialties. Some HPVs trigger the infection on the skin, some aim for genital infection, while there are those that trigger the infection on the rectal area.

Nevertheless, common warts affect both young and old. Treatments must be administered to stop their growth too so better consult a dermatologist as soon as you notice them on any part of your body. You may choose from the home remedies, surgery, laser technology, or the use of the over-the-counter medications.
