You can set aside a mud room or space in a room for your iguana and enclose it. Avoid carpeting it is not good for the iguana. You will also need a rectangular pan filled with water, because the iguana likes to soak, and he also does his business in the water, so water id critical for proper iguana care. You will have to frequently clean out this pan. Newspaper is the best floor covering to use as it can be quickly changed out and replaced. Other types of pet bedding are not good for your pet.

You should blend your iguana's foods or he will eat what he likes and not get a nutritious diet. Iguana vitamins are something that you should give your pet daily. Not specific enough. Need hot spot of around 100 degrees under basking light. A good vegetarian balanced diet is more complex and difficult to balance than simply saying greens and melons. Rep-cal makes an excellent pellet that I've raised babies to adults making their own babies with, and the breeders have lived normal lifespans on (10-15 years). It's an easy way to feed a good diet. 7 feet is like world record iguana length also and no one is likely to ever have a pet iguana reach that length- most full grown adults are 4-5 feet long after about 3 years and remain in that neighborhood with really big ones near 6 feet after a couple more years. Without tail the body is about the same size as a housecat. Socialization is very important for pet iguanas- they need a lot of time spent being handled and interacted with by owner to remain tame into adulthood-30 minutes to an hour daily for the first 3 years of life while they are growing and developing will produce adults that are super tame and surprisingly intelligent. Even during breeding season my adults are non-aggressive. Real breeding season when my animals are really mating and producing eggs. Many owners blame breeding season incorrectly on aggressive iguanas when the truth is they haven't put the time in socializing. Breeding season is a few weeks each year- not months and months - that's a good clue it's you not the lizard that's responsible.
